Description

How To Play Space.io Slither

Control Scheme

  • Tap and hold to point your ship in whatever direction you want to fly
  • Steer around bigger ships until you've got the numbers on your side
  • Glide over stars scattered across the arena to fatten up your ship's trail
  • Cut off smaller ships and swallow them whole to pack on size fast
  • Let go or ease up when you need a tighter turn to dodge a bigger hunter

There's no dialogue, no cutscenes, nothing fancy going on story-wise here, and honestly it doesn't need any. You're a tiny ship dropped into a dark arena full of drifting stars and rival pilots, all of you circling each other like sharks that just smelled blood. The whole thing has that stripped-down .io energy, a pitch-black backdrop, glowing trails, and a constant hum of tension because the ship next to you might be lunch, or you might be theirs. It's simple, sure, but that simplicity is exactly why one more round always sounds like a good idea.

Standout Features

  • Growth system built around eating stars and smaller rivals, so every match feels like a genuine size race
  • Arena-based combat where positioning and patience matter more than raw speed
  • A 2-player angle that turns a quick match into a proper rivalry with a friend
  • Clean 2D visuals that keep the focus on movement and reflexes instead of clutter
  • Rocket and spaceship theming that gives the classic slither formula a spacey coat of paint
  • Fast round structure, meaning losing your ship stings for about two seconds before you're back in
